Mark Baines, MS, MBA, CSCS, PES, CPT

Mark is the owner of Boot Camp Made Fun (a division of Training Made Fun) and is instructor for the women's Irvine boot camp at Mariner’s Church. He also holds group fitness training at Broadcom Corporation. He is also the owner of Training Made Fun (www.trainingmadefun.net) a company hosting and instructing personal trainer certification. Mark received his degree in business management in 1993 from Gonzaga University where he also obtained secondary teaching certification. He received his MS from California University of Pennsylvania in exercise science in August of 2006 and his MBA at California State University-Fullerton in May of 2009.

 

He currently holds certifications as a Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and personal training certifications from NESTA, NASM, ISSA, and NCCPT. He worked as a teacher, high school basketball, cross country and track coach for more than five years before working as a personal trainer and strength coach for the last ten years. He taught physical education, social studies and business classes for four years in Seattle, WA before moving to southern California to train for the 2000 Olympic Games in track & field's 800 meters. Mark ran at the collegiate level at Gonzaga University, but his times fell short of the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials. He still trains today (and so should you).

If the women's boot camp at Mariner’s Church in Irvine or Broadcom Corporation-Irvine fitness classes do not work for you or your schedule, Mark is available on a limited basis for small group or individual personal training sessions.
